Seasons of Emotions

Image

It’s summer time. The tree is in full bloom. There are birds and insects chirping and crawling on the tree. The tree is full of life.
Summer has emotions of its own. It is when the person is brimming with emotions and at times they become uncontrollable. It is the peak time for feelings to be expressed or felt.

Then sets in autumn.
The flowers fade. The leaves on the tree whither away. And there stands a barren tree.
Emotions, after a certain point, fade away. They stop clutching your hands (read hearts). They let go of you.

That is when winter creeps in.
Bitter cold. Freezing temperatures. The barren tree remains frozen. It becomes difficult to say if the tree is dead or just standing frozen.
This period is when emotions are exactly opposite of what they were in summer. So could we say that emotions die? No. They do not die, they cannot die.
The roots are deep into the soil. The soil provides nutrition to the tree. It is alive. Maybe we cannot see it.
In the same manner, emotions continue to exist. They can never leave the person. A person is nothing without emotions.

And then comes in spring!
The tree has new tender leaves. Birds come back to the tree. Insects start their lively lives once again!
Emotions are back to blooming. They bring back the old self once again! Life is back on track (or off track, in case of sadness).

Emotions, either happiness or sadness, joy or depression, form an integral part of our lives. Just like a tree which bears flowers in one season and is barren in the next season, a person faces ups and downs.  Maybe the person is sad throughout summer or is joyful throughout winter. A few days(or months) later, exact opposite feelings may be felt. Is it a disorder? No, not at all. Life goes on because of our emotions. We always try to be happy but there is a phase where one can just not find happiness in anything he/she does. At such times, one must let the phase go the way it has been going, let life lead the way, walk on the path that is shown by life. At such a time, don’t question life, accept it.

Have a peaceful day. 🙂
